VTP-NG — The New Generation of the Vertical Tail Plane
The project deals with new construction and manufacturing concepts for a CFRP vertical tail plane. VTP concepts must be developed that enable a faster and more cost-effective manufacture. The main goals are:
- reduction of the cycle time
- reduction in production costs
- weight savings
Contributions from Materials and Processes (M&P), Structural Design as well as Engineering and Manufacturing are integrated into the project in order to guarantee a comprehensive approach to the concept. The VTP-NG project is closely linked to the Pro-CFK project.
