CTC GmbH is working with cooperation partners on a fiber placement method for the automated manufacture of large CFRP components with thermoplastic, semi-finished textile products. These materials contain the thermoplastic matrix in a solid state together with the fiber reinforcement in the form of a narrow band.

PRO-CFK — Advanced Production Technology for Structures Made of Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymers

Today's manufacture of aircraft composite fiber components is manually intensive. In current technology there is usually a subsequent quality test. Simulation of RTM and VARI Processes

Simulation of the manufacturing process of CFRP components in dry fiber technology with the goal of cost and lead time reduction. The simulation chain ranges from drape simulation to infusion and cure simulation in RTM and VARI (vacuum assisted resin infusion) processes.
