CTC — Trend-Setting in CFRP Development
CTC GmbH, headquartered in the Stade Technology Center, is in close proximity to the world-wide best actors in the field of material and process development in the target field of CFRP.
The Composite Technology Center GmbH (CTC) in Stade, a subsidiary of AIRBUS Deutschland GmbH, is the development center of the CFK-Valley e.V. (registered association) Stade performance network.
An essential goal of CTC GmbH is the development of basic technologies in the CFK-Valley Stade network which, by adapting the materials and processes, allows for the integration of individual technologies within an existing process chain or the formation of a new one. This is an important prerequisite for the fulfillment of market requirements with regard to costs and production rates. Particularly the requirements for production rates have increased to such an extent that the demand cannot be met with the current single item production systems. In addition, the introduction of new production technologies in the manufacture of composites for the aircraft industry has helped meet the requirements of other branches such as commercial transport or track vehicle construction. This in particular is the path to mass production as required by the industry.
In order to effectively secure market success, the CFK-Valley competency network was established with the range of tasks below.
Development of process chains for composites, as service-providers in:
- aircraft construction
- shipbuilding, track vehicle, commercial vehicle and
- automobile construction
- establish settlement of suppliers und development partners in the CFK-Valley Stade.
- reduction in the vertical range of manufacture of fiber material producing companies by outsourcing work to small-to-medium size textile companies of at the Stade Technology Center (TZS)
