This page gives you an overview of our machines and production technology ressources.Automated Fiber Placement UnitLay down of thermoset tapes (prepregs) on surfaces with complex curvature. Programming of the geometry is done via a CATIA-based offline programming system.
Resin Injection UnitThe resin injection unit with two resin supply containers weighing 15 kg each is supplemented with a separate carousel for the admission of 8 additional resin pressure containers. Degassing of each subsequent resin container is possible before injection.
Convection OvenThe convection oven with a maximum power of 108 kW is used as a tempering chamber in the manufacture of CFRP components. This involves the injection of resin into dry preforms at specified temperatures or temperature curves as well as the tempering of preforms equipped with a binder for drape tests.
Hydraulic Press with Heating SurfaceThe hydraulic press is presently being used in the RTM process, for example for the manufacture of CFRP window frames. The mould can be heated by the temperature controlled press jaws. The deformation of the closed mould is reduced and therefore tightness is increased by the closing forces of the press jaws.
Robot-Controlled Stitching MachineIndustrial robot from KUKA (KR 125) with linear unit (KL 1500). 3 stitching heads from KSL (double lock stitch, blind stitch and tufting head).
Tailored Fiber Placement UnitThe TFP (Tailored Fiber Placement) is used for the deposition of dry fiber rovings on a stitching base. The fiber roving is fixed onto the stitching base with a stitching thread and oriented according to the stress flow. One example for the application is the manufacture of optimized load introductions and fittings.
WorkshopsThe Technology Center Stade has two workshop areas — a composite workshop and a metal workshop. The workshops are directly connected to the hall area.
